Two bronze medals

About it

In judo, competitors who lose in the quarter-finals get a second chance, the repechage. Its winners meet the losing semi-finalists from the other half of the draw, so there are two bronze-medal matches and two bronzes.

That adds a few matches to the n − 1 of a plain knockout, and means a loss is not always the end of the day.

One question

In that format, how many people stand on the podium?
