← The Circle at Our Table · Lesson 4 of 6
Let them close it
A circle is closed when the child answers your answer: they hand the spoon back again, laugh, or copy you. That closing move is theirs to make, and it is the part that builds the next one.
If you close every circle yourself (with a cheer, a "well done", a new idea), the child gets used to watching. Count their closes, not your openings.
Which of these is the child closing the circle?
A lesson is kept once you've answered the question and written at least 8 words. Nobody grades it; it stays on this device.
