Play with your child

Your child starts a game on Spark & Anvil and reads you the room code. You join here, on your own screen. Each of you hides an army the other can’t see, and the pieces only show themselves when they meet.

Getting the board ready…

The children’s rules apply. There is no chat and no text box apart from the code. You each get a temporary nickname, the room only lets in someone with the code, and it closes soon after you both leave. Nothing is saved to an account.

Same game, different names. On your child’s screen the flag is the Moonstone, the bombs are brambles, the spy is Puck the mouse, the scouts are runners, the miners are badgers and the 10 is Ursa the bear. The rules are the same.

Fair by design. Before the first move each screen seals its setup with a short code. At the end both setups are shown and every meeting is replayed, so both of you can see the game was played straight. It’s a fairness check for a family game, not a security system.
