How to Run a Room
Five short lessons for one grown-up and a room of children: one quiet signal, a job for every change, fair teams, two questions for a fight, and an ending they want more of.
For grown-ups, from what MentorDojo teaches children at Spark & Anvil.
- Lesson 1One quiet signal
- Lesson 2A job for every change
- Lesson 3Fair teams, quickly
- Lesson 4Two questions for a fight
- Lesson 5End while they want more
Teach the signal
You'll need: Nothing.
- While the room is calm, show your signal: hand up, voices off.
- Practise it three times as a game; thank the first table to get there.
- Count off one-two to make two teams, then play one short game.
- Call "last round", finish, and name one thing the whole room did well.
