How we chose and checked them: a game goes on this shelf only when its full move list matches in at least two separate records, one of them outside the large public archive most copies come from. Every game is then replayed on our own Go engine, so no move on the board is illegal. Where the records disagree on a detail — a date, a final count, a single move — we show the version most sources share and say so on the game's page. Game records are historical facts; the introductions and notes are our own words.
