Theme parks

For the grown-up beside a child who loves theme parks.

There is no Whetstone tool or course for theme parks yet, so this page is the sideline card and your child's ladder.

The sideline card

Three numbers to notice

  1. The height line beside a ride, in inches and centimetres: 40 inches is 102 cm.
  2. The same ride can ask a different height at another park: one coaster asks 40 inches in one park and 44 in another.
  3. The posted wait in minutes, and how long the line really took.

On the way home, ask: “Which ride would you go on again, and what would you watch for the second time?”

Ask because you are curious, and let any answer stand. Print this page for a half-page card.

Numbers checked against: Disneyland: Space Mountain (40 in); Walt Disney World: Space Mountain (44 in)
