Rodeo
For the grown-up beside a child who loves rodeo.
The child's own door is Rodeo on Spark & Anvil.
There is no Whetstone tool or course for rodeo yet, so this page is the sideline card and your child's ladder.
Three numbers to notice
- In pro rodeo, eight seconds: a bull or bronc ride counts only if the rider stays on that long.
- The score: two judges mark both the rider and the animal, so how the animal bucks is part of the score.
- Rodeo barrel racing: three barrels in a cloverleaf, and 5 seconds added for each barrel knocked over.
On the way home, ask: “Which ride today do you think the judges liked, and why?”
Ask because you are curious, and let any answer stand. Print this page for a half-page card.
Numbers checked against: PRCA: Rodeo Terminology 101; WPRA Rule Book 2026, §12.3.1 (the cloverleaf) and §12.3.11 (five-second penalty)
