Racing
For the grown-up beside a child who loves racing.
The child's own door is Racing on Spark & Anvil.
There is no Whetstone tool or course for racing yet, so this page is the sideline card and your child's ladder.
Three numbers to notice
- Points for the top ten in Formula 1: 25 for a win, then 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1.
- Most races are the fewest whole laps that add up to more than 305 km (Monaco is shorter), so a short track means more laps.
- The lap time on the screen, to the thousandth of a second.
On the way home, ask: “Which lap today would you have wanted to drive, and why?”
Ask because you are curious, and let any answer stand. Print this page for a half-page card.
Numbers checked against: FIA 2025 Formula 1 Sporting Regulations (the points table); FIA 2026 Formula 1 Regulations, Section B Sporting (the 305 km race distance)
