Archery
For the grown-up beside a child who loves archery.
The child's own door is Archery on Spark & Anvil.
There is no Whetstone tool or course for archery yet, so this page is the sideline card and your child's ladder.
Three numbers to notice
- Ten rings on the target: 10 for the gold centre, down to 1 for the outer white.
- Olympic recurve archers shoot from 70 metres at a target face 122 cm across.
- An arrow touching a line scores the higher ring.
On the way home, ask: “What changed between your first arrow and your last?”
Ask because you are curious, and let any answer stand. Print this page for a half-page card.
Numbers checked against: World Archery Rulebook, Book 2 (distances and target faces); World Archery Rulebook, Book 3 (scoring)
